I recall when I first got online and was searching for someone to show me article marketing for newbies. The information is overwhelming and you don’t know which way to turn. I sense your pain.

My top advice for anybody getting started are as follows:

* Be cautious of who you happen to be following, not all marketers are moral.
* Always perform your search term research or your hard work will be wasted.
* Create quality content that grabs your readers attention.
* Create appealing titles.
* Always be sincere and ethical.
* Write an effective resource box.
* Always understand the editorial rules.

Watch out for who you happen to be following means that the web is filled with affiliate entrepreneurs that don’t give a rip about you. They say they teach article marketing for newbies and then come to find out, they want $300 for his or her product that is meant to show you all you need to know. They can be easily recognized by their hype and over priced products, plus they hardly ever, if ever, present good quality content.

Your key phrase research is the most important part of article writing. If you do not intend on doing your research, then don’t plan on making any profits either. You have to know what your visitors are trying to find so you can provide them with the knowledge they are looking for.

Quality content means to be educated regarding what you happen to be writing about and offer your readers information. That’s what they really are searching for; offer them what they want and they will love you for it.

Make sure and create a captivating title, you have only three seconds to grab their interest. Your heading must tempt your reader to keep reading all the way through to your resource box, which explains where your link is.

Being honest and ethical means to know what you’re talking about. You should not write about a product or service you know zilch about. Do not write about horseback riding when you have not been on a stallion in your life. You’ll find marketers out there that will state that you don’t need to know anything about a product in order to promote it. I’m telling you the reverse. When you know about a topic it shows in your writing, and people will buy from somebody who knows what they really are talking about. It simply makes sense.

The part of the article where you sell yourself is your resource box. Create something that will entice your visitors to click your link. You should not write about you, instead write something that will help solve their problem.

Remember to always read the editorial rules for the article directory that you’re submitting to. If you happen to break the rules it might get you banned from that site, which is a bummer, and that is not to mention the time you’ve wasted.

Article marketing for newbies is about following someone that is good at what they do, plus always be sincere and honest with your readers, that is the way you will earn their trust.
